WHO AM I?

Hey guys I’m so excited you clicked on my blog my name is Cimberlea Ann Willis, but people call me Cimmie! I’m from a small town called Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. I’m the youngest of my 3 siblings and have two amazing parents who love each other so much! They just celebrated their 30th anniversary!! I’m currently 19 years old and will be 20 September 20th. I graduated from Collinwood High School in 2023 I’m just a girl who loves Jesus and just wants everyone to know how much Jesus cares for them and loves them :))) I currently work at Kroger (it’s a grocery store) I love my “work family” they make work not as bad lol.

I’m super close with my big family and just love them so much and would do anything for them. :)) A little fun fact about me I love doing photography or any type of video to capture moments. I will be bringing my camera on the world race so you can follow me @cimmies_photogrpahy and @cimmies_journal to find anything I capture over the 9 months and anything I write also! I love helping out with FCA (Fellowship Christian Athletes) it’s helping out with camps or taking pictures for them, I love kayaking, riding my four-wheeler, hanging out with my friends, my church friends, my family, going to my church (The Fathers House), I love reading, simply laughing at anything, or if it’s just listening to music with the windows down. Just the little moments I love that make life so much sweeter and of course, I saved the best for last I love spending time with Jesus.

What is the WorldRace?

The WorldRace is a 9-month Christian gap year program created for recent high school graduates to serve others, dive into the Christian community, grow in their identity and faith. A gap year allows you to work alongside experienced leaders who share the hope of Jesus and meet the tangible needs of their communities every day. Along the way, you’ll discover more of God, yourself, and your calling.  A gap year is not a year off. It’s the launching pad for seeking the kingdom of God for the rest of your life.

I will be leaving August 31st going to Gainesville Georgia to get trained with 30 other people that will be going with me on the mission trip. October 11th we will launch out to 4 different countries to Guatemala, South Africa, Eswatini, and Indonesia. We will be back May 22, 2025.

What is Adventures In Mission (AIM)

Adventures in Missions (AIM) is a non-profit, interdenominational organization that focuses on discipleship and connecting people with mission opportunities. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Gainesville, Georgia, AIM’s mission is to raise up a generation of disciples of Jesus Christ.

TESTIMONY

From a young age I was very blessed I was raised in a loving Christian home. I fell in love with Jesus when I was a little girl and ended up getting saved and baptized at the age of 5 or 6 years old. Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of going to college for ball which led me to move schools end of my sophomore year. Skip two years later beginning of my senior year I was feeling a void in my heart. I knew the Lord was not wanting me to go to college, but was calling me into full-time ministry. At the time I didn’t know what this looked like, but fully trusted God and went out on Faith. I graduated on May 11th, 2023 and that summer I went full-on with Ministry by helping out with 5 camps that summer. During the summer I found out about the WorldRace from one of my friends and knew this was what the Lord was calling me into.

Follow along on this awesome journey the Lord is doing in my life!

Mark 10:25“For even as the Son Of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

HOW CAN YOU PRAY FOR ME

Please be in prayers for me and my team before, during, and after the world race. Pray for us to give us comfort and peace when we leave and leave everything behind that we know. Please pray for my health while I’m gone that I will be healthy. Pray for my family while I’m gone that my family will have peace and comfort while they will have to adjust to me being gone for 9 months. Please pray for everyone heading to training camp, on the world race, and after the world race for us to be safe. Most importantly please pray for the gospel to spread across the nations and for the people who don’t know who Jesus is.

I’m so excited for this new chapter in my life and can’t wait to see what the Lord does. Click subscribe to get updates for new blogs. I love y’all and Jesus loves y’all.
